Popups? Never!

Some users have noticed that we've recently put up a few ads, and are concerned with one question: “Will BehindTheLyrics ever have pop-ups?”

We have but one simple answer to that question: never!

BehindTheLyrics is paid for by a few volunteers, and we hope that a few non-intrusive ads within the page will help pad our losses. This will help keep us on a fast connection for the benefit of our members. (By the way, if anyone is looking for a good hosting provider, we highly recommend Media Temple; they have excellent deals on everything from shared hosting to dedicated servers, and a nice in-between option they call “appliance servers”.)

We do not believe in popup advertising; it's intrusive, ugly, and useless to our members. It is the plague of the Internet, and we do not plan to propagate it.
