50 Cent due to release "Curtis"
April 23, 2007
Curtis Jackson aka 50 cent is releasing a new album entitled "Curtis,"due June 26 via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope/Basically Eminem. It wouldn't surprise me if 50 Cent bought his own record label in the near future.
The first track to be released is "Straight to the Bank". It's just starting to get radio play and its simple non-intricate beat structure should soothe the average dedicated hip-hop listener's ears.
Personally I think the track truly lacks an original score, and the lyrics are all about the extreme wealth 50 cent has amounted, clearly from heavy endorsements involving clothing, cologne, video games, and music etc..
All in all a disappointment thus far, but with the likes of Dr Dre, Timbaland, and Eminem as producers its sure to pick up somewhere. Theres a lue of guest stars as expected; Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Akon and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls. Oh Boy.
Don't hold your breathe. 2 months is awhile anyways.
