10,000 Days in concert

Tool's new album is perfect for a live setting. The "norm" for Tool's performances is insane visuals, high energy, and face melting sound.
The most notable of these I felt was the visuals. Each song has its own visual expression deeply embedded into it. The video's displayed on huge screens are usually Alex Gray inspired, and mind numbing. Lights of greens and reds spit out over the crowd, and dance with the rhythm. Everyone isn't concerned with your behavior because they too are fixated on the grandeur of it all!
The venue I experienced was in Kansas, a state that is notably barren and stereotypically unexciting, yet the performance was as energetic and awe-inspiring as imaginable anywhere else. If you have the chance to catch them on the last leg of the tour consider yourself attending. You can't be disappointed.
