This song is about maynard's mom who was paralyzed for 27 years after she suffered a stroke I guess she never lost her faith in God even after what happened to her. The new cd 10000 days has 2 songs on it 10000 days (wings for marie part 1 and 2) that are also about his mom...her name was judith marie she passed away in 2003. Also 10000 days is equivalent to 27 years, the amount of time she lived paralyzedRating:

msplainjane is absoluelty correct. maynard has never really been too religious in his songs. he blamed God for the tragedy of his mother. i had no idea 10,000 days = 27years. that is incredible. msplainjane is very correct!This meaning has not been rated.
