Exit Music (For a Film) lyrics
Wake... from your sleep
The drying of your tears
Today.. we escape
We escape.
Pack and get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before.. all hell.. breaks loose.
Breathe... keep breathing
Don't lose.. your nerve.
Breathe... keep breathing
I can't do this.. alone.
Sing us a song
A song to keep us warm
There's such a chill
Such a CHILL.
You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope that your rules and wisdom choke you
Now we are one
In everlasting peace
We hope that you choke.. that you choke
We hope that you choke.. that you choke
We hope that you choke.. that you choke

This song is actually about Romeo and Juliet. More precicely it was written for a film about Romeo and Juliet.this is what Yorke says about the whole idea of Shakespear's poem: "I was 13 and I cried my eyes out, because I couldn't understand why, the morning after they shagged, they didn't just run away. The song is written for two people who should run away before all the bad stuff starts. A personal song."
