i just came back from the hospital. my aunt has mesothelioma (sp?), lung cancer caused from asbestos.i've never really cared about that whole issue until just now, since it really hit home and affects me now. now i'm pissed about the people who put asbestos into the buildings without finding out about it.
we're kind of looking for some third party advice. anyone here know anyone with mesothelioma? thanks.

That's not cool. I knew somebody that had Mesothelioma once, a distant relative I believe. I never researched it, sorry I can't really help you learn any more about Mesothelioma.ccarpenter says: Nov 4, 2004, 9:41 AM
I've heard of mesothelioma before, and it can be pretty bad. I think I had a friend who's aunt died of it. He was pretty torn up.Keep the faith!

Sorry to hear about that. I'm even more sorry that I don't have any information to help you out with. :(dizzle says: Nov 4, 2004, 2:43 PM

You can blame the people that used asbestos, but honestly, there was just no way to tell that it would have the effects that you see today. It's like DDT, or Agent Orange. You just didn't know it would have the effects it did. We're more careful about that kind of thing now (i.e. FDA approvals) but it's not a foolproof thing. Sometimes only time will tell. However, this doesn't mean that it's a horrible and regrettable situation. Sorry, man. :/

Hey man theres stuff on t.v. all the time on Mesothelioma on how you could make it into a court case or something, a lot of them could probably give your family good representation. Just look for their advertisements on t.v.And carp that was dumb to say that, you should pray for his aunt instead of making her chances of survival grim.
Joaks I hear that it can be treated if its at an early stage so theres always hope man.
