So... how about that San Andreas? I've only played a few hours of it at my friends house. I'm gonna buy it soon. I like the whole gang war theme. It's a nice change from the mob wars of the previous two. And it's just funny to see people shooting at you for wearing green. Cause then you get to run them down with a car :)cvincent says: Nov 5, 2004, 1:30 PM
Sounds interesting. To be honest, I'm not sure how much different it could be. The GTA series works much like the Madden games. Same engine, just new models/roster/etc. Many of the models could even be reused or just refined. The only thing that really changes is the story, but let's face it; the missions are essentially the same.
Regardless, I'll give it a try.

I was cautious for that same reason. But what really drew me in was the map. It's huuuge. 3 different cities, each one the size of Vice City. And 12 little towns in between them. And there's a mountain that you can go offroading on... ooo. Plus it just sounds like there's tons of new content. I'm not nearly far enough to know for sure though. I'm excited about flying jets and mowing people down with a combine :D And in one of the trailors I saw it showed that you could go skydiving out of airplanes with a parachute and everything. And you can march onto enemy territory with your gang to start a gang war, then take over their turf. Hahaha. And get a 'fro! It has to be a good game if you can walk around with a 'fro! Oh and another thing that drew me in is the new RPG-like system. The more you do certain things (driving, running, shooting) the better your character is at doing them. And you can work out in a gym to increase your muscles and if you don't eat you get skinny and weak but if you eat too much you get fat and slow. Man, now I'm even more excited about it just from saying stuff I already knew.cvincent says: Nov 5, 2004, 2:40 PM
Haha... so it's like GTA, but much more open-ended. I was actually wishing the series would take it in that direction. The huge map sounds great. One wonders how long it will be before it becomes massively multiplayer...

This has been on almost non-stop in my dorm since I bought it. This game is huge. The weapons are sweet. You can not possibly get tired of anything. There are freaking jetpacks. Tanks. Apaches. Sweet bikes. Everything. The game is huge. The story is better. Top notch.

I bought San Andreas. Badass game. I've only played it for a few hours but I can already tell that there's going to be more to it than GTA3 and Vice combined.Post Reply
